Keeping bees not for you?

You don’t have to own a hive to make a difference. Some of the most valuable contributions may come from people who never intend to become beekeepers.

What can you bring to B’Almond?

Community days

Some things are simply better when we do them together. Community Days can bring volunteers, beekeepers, families, businesses and friends around practical projects.

• Planting a new pollinator garden
• Building bee water stations
• Preparing habitat areas
• Painting signs and maintaining spaces
• Helping with conservation projects

The activity may change. The idea remains the same: people working together to create something positive — and hopefully enjoying themselves while they do it.

Children & families

Few things capture a child’s imagination quite like opening the door to the natural world. Through family activities and community projects, we want children to discover bees, pollinators, plants and the environment around them.

Small experiences can create lifelong curiosity and respect for nature — and children often take that enthusiasm home with them.

Schools & young people

Schools can play an important role in building a more pollinator-aware generation. We aim to work with schools and youth groups through educational visits, talks, planting projects and practical activities.

Community isn’t only about volunteering time. It is also about recognising the skills and resources already around us.

Instead of asking “What can B’Almond do alone?” we ask: “What could we create together?”

Community projects

We want B’Almond to be a place where good ideas can grow — a pollinator garden at a school, unused hotel land planted for bees, timber for a community build, bee-friendly plants from a nursery, art inspired by bees, or a business sponsoring local conservation.

• It doesn’t have to be enormous
• One person saying “I could help with that” is enough to start

Businesses & community partners

Businesses have skills, people, materials, spaces and resources that can make community projects possible. We welcome partners who want to contribute to practical conservation, education or community activities.

In return, we want partnerships that represent something genuine — visible action that benefits bees, pollinators and the community around us.
